Currently reading: Confessions of a Sociopath and The Last Emperor of Mexico
Today was really great weather and I was able to take several walks throughout the day. My first walk was half as long as I intended it to be, so I thought I would not make good progress during the day. The park was packed with people. I made up for the slow start later though.
The weather makes such a huge difference in being able to walk a long distance. That and having easy access to a safe place to walk.
Tomorrow I will see if I can get in 20,000 steps again.
I am currently listening to Confessions of a Sociopath. It is fine, but not great. There was a period of time where many of the non-fiction books coming out were what should have just been a long form article back when those were more of a thing. Instead they draw out the content into a full book, even if there is not enough to say to justify it. The book is fine, but the author is not nearly as interesting to me as she is to herself.
I am also listening to The Last Emperor of Mexico. This book is fantastic. Unfortunately it is very long and I don’t have much time before it is due back to the library and it has a long wait list. Since I know I won’t be able to finish it all before it is due, I will prioritize finishing the other book, even though it is not as good.
I think a lot of people must have gotten a lot of reading done over the holidays, because all of my holds are becoming available faster lately.
I got nothing done on my hat that I am knitting.
